Charles J. Washa

Charles J. Washa passed away surrounded by family on Friday, July 7 ,2017, at Agrace hospice in Fitchburg.

He was born March 13, 1965 to Kathy I. (Killerlain) and Francis L. Washa. Chuck was the youngest of five children. Chuck loved hunting, fishing, yardwork and life itself. He graduated in 1983 From Deforest High School. He worked in manufacturing at Madison- Kipp, Stoughton Trailers, and Oscar Mayer. Chuck Finally landed the job of his dreams and the best co-workers at Madison Metro transit in 2009. He loved his job every day and felt it was his calling. Most of all he was proud of being married to the love of his life, Debra June (Weitzel) Washa. Chuck and Debra would have celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary on December 5, 2017. Chuck often said that Debra changed his life for the better.

Chuck is survived by his wife Debra Washa, son Jason Weitzel, siblings Jim, (Julie) Pahl Washa, Raymond Washa, Karen (Bill) Schaffer, Daniel (Shelly) Washa, and many nieces and nephews.

Chuck was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, July 22 at 11 AM at Grasse Funeral Home in Pardeeville with Rev. Gloria Stubitsch officiating. Visitation will be held from 9 AM until the time of services. The Family would like to thank Agrace and Madison Metro for all the outstanding love and care through his illness.
