William J. Schumann Obituary

He was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan to William Schumann and Gladys Schumann (Seldahl). Bill was a graduate of Madison West in 1957.
His first real job was managing a King Burger drive-up fast-food restaurant, first drive-up restaurant in Madison. Bill was always in sales of some sort… a real Smoozer!! And, for a period of years he was bartender/manager at Steven’s Bar & Grill on Johnson Street in Madison.
Bill was an avid bowler, golfer, enjoyed boating, fishing, and loved playing Euchre. His special putter, wooden head with a copper face which he started using in his very young years, will be put to rest with him. He was a member of Maple Bluff Country Club in his younger years. A lifetime member of the Elks Club and also belonged to the Moose and the VFW. Bill has always been known for dressing stylish, but in his later years he became known as “Mr. Fancy Pants” because he has a collection of shorts and slacks that have outlandish designs and colors. Wild Bill!!!
