William R. Fisher

William Ronald Fisher passed away Sunday, April 23, 2023 at Reedsburg Area Medical Center. He was 83 years old. Bill was born in Janesville, Wisconsin January 4, 1940 to Beatrice and George Fisher.

He served 2 years in the United States Army after high school and built a career in various positions with Wisconsin Bell (Ameritech/ATT).  He raised two children, Eric and Michelle, with his first wife Gayle Badger (Rickert). After retirement, Bill lived in North Port, Florida until settling in Lake Delton, Wisconsin at Christmas Mountain. During retirement, he enjoyed driving for the Original Wisconsin Ducks.  He also enjoyed traveling, camping, and spending winters in Florida. In 2010, Bill married Beverly Johnson. They treasured time together, traveling, and visiting family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly Fisher; children Eric (Carrie) Fisher of Sebring, Florida and Michelle (Paul) Nys of Orlando, Florida; grandchildren Ashley (Ross) Stone, Krysta (Kyle) Hoyer; David Fisher, Paige Nys, and Sydney Nys; great grandchildren Kami Stone, Mackson Stone, Adalyn Hoyer, and Declan Hickey; step-daughter, Julie (Bill) Osborne; brother-in-law Bob Verhoef; and many cousins and friends. Bill is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Robert Fisher.

Bill’s remains were cremated and dispersed per his wishes. A remembrance event will be held at a later date.
