Wendy Sue Werner, age 63, of Pardeeville passed away Saturday, December 9, 2023 at her home. She was born January 17, 1960 in Portage Wisconsin to Kenneth Werner and Lois (Hepler) Woodman.
Wendy lived in Pardeeville her whole life and there was nowhere else she would rather have been. For many years, Wendy worked at the local Kwik Trip, where she was not only a familiar face to many, but was always making new friends in town as well. She had the ability to talk to anyone. Wendy was a kind soul with the biggest heart. She was a giver and always tried to help people see the positives in life. Wendy was a loving mother and grandmother and centered her life on the care and well-being of her children. She always made sure her children were taken care of before anything else. Watching each of her children grow into successful, strong and independent adults and start families of their own was the pride and joy of Wendy’s life.
In her free time, Wendy loved fishing and more than anything, basking in the sun. Each year at Christmas, she made the most amazing frosted Spritz cookies, that she enjoyed baking and sharing with her family. Wendy found beauty in everything. She loved nature and could see something special in even the most ordinary of stones, of which she was an avid collector. Wendy never turned down an adventure whether it included taking pictures, rock hunting, or treasure finding. She enjoyed photography and the creative editing process, was a self-taught researcher of antiques, treasures, and rocks and was a Google expert. She enjoyed hunting and searching for new information.
Wendy is survived by her children, Mark Villavicencio II, Kara (Brad) Guler, and Stephan (Amber) Hodgson; grandchildren, Everett Guler, Elliott Guler, Amelia Hodgson and Olivia Hodgson; sister Cindy (Jeff) Schroeder and brother Mark (Lisa) Werner; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends. She is also survived by her much loved cat, Jemica Werner. Wendy was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial service will be held Wednesday, December 20 at 6:30 PM at Grasse Funeral Home in Pardeeville. Visitation will be held from 4:30 PM until the time of service.
