Virginia M. Zuercher, 96, of Ashippun/Pewaukee, passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at the Columbia Healthcare Center in Wyocena. She was born June 3, 1923 in Waukesha, the daughter of Edward and Josephine Erickson.
She was united in marriage to Ray Zuercher. Together with Ray, Virginia was active in snowmobile clubs and they built their dream home together in Ashippun. They enjoyed spending time in their cabin at Black River Falls and on Pewaukee Lake. Virginia also enjoyed boating, cooking, and planting her flowers.
Survivors include her husband Ray; daughters Marilyn (Terry) Schulz, Clara Nowacki, and Linda Schmocker; Ray’s children, Gary Zuercher, Tim Zuercher, and Jeff (Debbie) Zuercher; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and sister Irene Justra. She was preceded in death by her parents, and four siblings.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, February 26 at 11 AM at St. Catherine Catholic Church in Oconomowoc with Father Mike Strachota presiding. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 AM until the time of services at the church.
