Virginia Marie Giacomino, age 95, of Pence, WI, passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at Sienna Crest in Lodi,WI. She was born November 25, 1929 in Pence to Peter and Madeline (Bracket) Smee.

Virginia graduated from Hurley High School and went on to live a life defined by dedication—to her work, her community, and her family. On September 16, 1950, she married the love of her life, Dominic Giacomino, in Pence, WI. Virginia held a variety of jobs throughout her life, always bringing care and diligence to whatever she did. She ultimately retired from her position as the Iron County Clerk of Courts at the age of 75, a testament to her strong work ethic and deep commitment to public service. She was an active member of her community and was involved in the Hurley Lionettes and the Iron County Food Pantry. She generously volunteered her time to causes close to her heart and was a devoted member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Hurley.

She is survived by her daughter Lynne Giacomino Dugolenski and son Mark (Judy) Giacomino; daughter in law Ilene Giacomino; grandchildren Angela (Jerry) Gallo, Bria Giacomino, Josef (Jill) Giacomino, and Madeline Falk; and great grandchildren Peter, Ethan, and Kadey Gallo, Santino and Gia Giacomino, Anthony and Dominic Falk, and Hanna (Mike) Kemppainen. She was preceded in death by her parents Peter and Madeline Smee; husband Dominic; sons Peter, Dennis, and Gregg; and grandson Dominic Dale Giacomino.

A mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, September 19, 2025 at 11:00 A.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Hurley, WI with Rev. Hrudaya Raju Sunkara officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. at Church until the time of service on Friday. Inurnment will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Hurley. Memorials may be sent to the Agrace Foundation: 5395 E.
