Stanley Wayne Hazard, of Poynette, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 13, 2025. He was born August 14, 1935 to Marshall and Agnes Hazard and passed peacefully in the house where he was born.

Stan was a graduate of Poynette High School and took over the farm from his father, continuing to work the land and run the dairy farm. Stanley sold his cows in 1978 but continued to farm his land while working at Johnson Sales for a few years hauling machinery. He briefly returned to milking until again selling his herd in 1983. Stan went to work for Lakeside foods in Poynette until he retired from there at age 75 in 2010. During retirement, Stanley enjoyed outdoor projects on the farm and spending time with friends and family.

Stanley was a very active member of the Rio Assembly of God Church (now Bedrock Church) in Rio. He served many terms as a deacon and enjoyed teaching adult Sunday School classes and bible studies. He also served many years as a board member of the Rio Farmers Union Co-op.

Stanley married Patricia Baxter, of Baraboo, in January of 1963 and became the stepfather of two children, Greg and Vicki. He would later adopt them as his own.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia, of 62 years; four children, Greg (Joanne), Vicki, Scott (Lisa), Wendy; ten grandchildren, Brett (Noel), Christine, Naomi, Noah (Amber), Ryan (Becca), Lindsay, Rachel, Thomas, Reagan, and Nick; five great-grandchildren, Caeden, London, Max, Audrey, and Scarlet. He is further survived by his sister, June Werner of Frederick, Maryland; six nieces and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marshall and Agnes Hazard and sister Jean Bauer.

Stan was known by his family and friends as a man of deep faith, warm heart, and an easy laugh.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at Bedrock Church, N3974 Williams Rd, Rio, Wisconsin at 12:00 pm. Visitation will be on site from 10:00 to 11:45 am preceding the service.
