Shirley M. Weinkauf, age 78, of Ripon, WI passed away peacefully Saturday, January 18, 2025 at Whispering Pines Nursing & Rehabilitation, Ripon, WI. Shirley was born April 19, 1946 in Waupun, WI, daughter of Delmar and Hazel (Van Loo) Schouten. On October 16, 1965, she married Bruce Weinkauf at Zion Lutheran Church, Fairwater. She worked nights at the canning factory in Fairwater during the summer season. She enjoyed baking, especially at Christmas, word search puzzles, watching daytime soaps and game shows. 

Shirley is survived by her daughter, Susan (Jeff) Leahy of Markesan, her son, Kevin Weinkauf of Ripon, grandchildren, Cody Leahy of Fox Lake, Jared (Natalia) Leahy of North Carolina, Callie (Derek Kunde) Leahy of Fond du Lac, and Amelia Leahy of Markesan, son-in-law Emil Simson, sisters-in-law Josette Schouten and Rose (Bill) Wick, brothers-in-law Gil (Nancy) Weinkauf and Dave Weinkauf, nieces, nephews and many friends. 

She was preceded in death by her husband Bruce, her daughter, Lori Simson, her parents, Delmar and Hazel Schouten, in-laws, Adolph & Mildruth Weinkauf, sister, Marion (Harvey) Kok, brothers, Delmar "Sonny" Schouten and Larry Schouten, sister-in-law, Nita Weinkauf, and nephew, Andrew Wick. 

Visitation for Shirley will be held from 9 until 11 am with service to follow at 11 am on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at Zion Lutheran Church, 100 Church Street, Fairwater, WI 53931 with Rev. Kimberly Stowell officiating. Inurnment will take place at Fairwater Cemetery at a later date. A memorial is being established in her name.
