Sandra E. Brice Obituary

Sandra Emilie Brice (Trachsler), age 80 of Rock Springs, passed away peacefully June 23, 2026. She was born on July 2, 1945 to Lyman and Lucille Trachsler. She was the 2nd of 4 children.

Most of her childhood was spent in Baraboo, WI where she graduated from high school in 1963. She went on to attend Sauk County Teachers College, where she met her future husband Richard Brice. They were united in marriage on Dec 25, 1965.

Sandy loved children and spent many years helping with her nieces and nephews before having a child of her own. She also enjoyed baking, reading, going for walks and in later years growing many flowers in her yard. She was very personable and got along with almost everyone. She had an amazing smile that would light up the room.

Sandy worked at several different hotels doing housekeeping before finding her true passion as an assistant director of a local daycare. In her retirement years she still worked part time as a lunch room assistant for the Baraboo Schools.

She is survived by her daughter Caroline; sister-in-laws Betty (Lyman Jr) Trachsler, Leslie (Terry) Trachsler and Lucy (Bob) Brice and many special nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her sister Dyanne (Ed) Godt; brothers Lyman and Terry Trachsler; her parents and by her husband’s 8 brothers and sisters.

The family would like to thank the staff at Jefferson Meadows in Baraboo and at SSM Hospice for all of their care and support.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, July 10, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. at Grasse Funeral Home in Reedsburg with Rev. Kim Peterson officiating. Visitation will be held at 9:00 A.M. until the time of service starts on Friday. Luncheon to follow.
