Ross D. Yahnke, 90 of Portage, passed away Sunday, June 18, 2023 at home. He was born March 23, 1933 in Cambria, Wisconsin to John and Clara (Fromholz) Yahnke
Ross was a man of many talents. He ran his own TV Sales & Service until he was drafted in the Navy during the Korean conflict. He met his wife Pearl (Whyte) while deer hunting and they were married on October 12, 1963. He worked in Madison as a Machinist at Ohio Medical until his retirement. He was a wonderful woodworker and created many beautiful items for his family.
He leaves behind his wife Pearl of 59 years; daughter Ann Marie Heimerl, son Dale John (Amy) Yahnke; grandchildren, Alexis (Lou) Rosales, Daniel (Abigail) Heimerl, Jack (Emily Hudson) Heimerl and Savannah Yahnke and great grandchild Kinsley Rosales. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Roger Yahnke.
