Ronald “Ronnie” Zurbuchen, age 80, of Marquette County, WI, passed away October 20, 2025 at home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born December 6, 1944 to Clarence and Catherine Zurbuchen and loving and spirited husband of Vivian Trainor Zurbuchen.

Ron was proud to have worked for the Dane County Highway Department for many years. He was an Earth Moving Environmentalist and lover of life. He inspired many with his big heart, legendary smile, the work of his hands, and his passion for music and trees. Spending time with his loved ones was his true language of love.

He is survived by his wife Vivian; children Christopher (Silvia) Beck, Kelly (Matt) Haas, Lawrence Zurbuchen, Catherine  Zurbuchen; two sisters, Shirley and Joan (Doug) Uren; two step sisters Cathy Matts and Cherry (Dick) Jones. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Charlene Alderson (Brandon), Riley, John, Jamie, Abigail, Leo, and Viviana; great grandchild, Jackson; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and too many family and beloved friends to name. 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held November 15, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. at Grasse Funeral Home in Pardeeville, 119 Industrial Dr. Please join the family for food and friendship to follow.

His family would like to extend their gratitude to all the Agrace Hospice staff, the Bright Star staff and family and friends that made it possible to fulfill his desire to die at home. He will be greatly missed.
