Robert M. Lueptow Obituary

Robert M. Lueptow (Hook), age 86, of Pardeeville, died Sunday, March 23, 2025 at his home with his caring family.  Bob was born to Carol and Harry Lueptow on February 13, 1939. Bob grew up and attended Pardeeville School District and graduated May 31, 1957. Bob is a proud Army Veteran, serving from 1960 to 1962 in the Berlin Crisis, a final incident of the Cold War.

He spent 28 years working for Oscar-Meyer and enjoyed a variety of positions within the company until his retirement.  Bob’s proudest job was his 25 years spent as a crossing guard for the Village of Pardeeville. He looked forward to helping students cross the road safely up until the week of his passing.  Bob was an avid Wisconsin sports fan and was always cheering on the Packers, Badgers and Brewers. Throughout Bob’s life he enjoyed being a part of a variety of organizations and visiting the local nursing home.  He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Pardeeville, he enjoyed curling and being a member of the local fire department in his younger days. Bob enjoyed collecting bobbleheads, and collecting all things Packer and Brewers. He especially enjoyed collecting sports cards over the years.  Bob had a way of putting a smile on everyone's face with his jokes and sense of humor and was known to be the life of the party!  Bob enjoyed taking trips to the casino with his gambling partner, Peggy.  He looked forward to the excitement and the thrill of trying to win the big jackpot.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents Carol and Harry Lueptow; brothers Richard Lueptow and Steve Lueptow; sister Diane Grueneberg; sister in law Sue Lueptow; brother in law Lynn Grueneberg; and nephews Tim Lueptow and Scott Lueptow.  Bob is survived by his special life partner Peggy Gray; loving children Robert Lueptow, David Lueptow, Stacy (Dennis) Teniente; sisters Nancy (Robert) Nichols, Kathy (Buddy) Lawrence and sister in law Sally Lueptow; grandchildren Devan Teniente, Michael Teniente and Jacob Teniente, Timmy Lueptow and Michael Lueptow; great grandchildren Jaden Teniente and a special bundle of joy on the way; as well as many family and friends.
