Robert E Lee "Bob" age 77 of Montello, WI passed away on September 13, 2019, surrounded by loved ones, at Tivoli of Portage Divine Savior Healthcare.

He was born on November 17, 1941 in Barton, WI, son of Alfred and Gladys Lee. He married Bernadette M. Truehl on April 28, 1962 in Madison. He served in the United States Air Force, from 1960 to 1964, started at Truax Field, Madison and then was stationed in Alaska. He was a Central Office Repairman for Wisconsin Bell Telephone "Ma Bell", later known as AT&T, then after retirement he did a short stint as a computer consultant for Alliant Energy. He was a member of the Retired Pioneers of Wisconsin Telephone. He enjoyed bowling, playing cards, gardening, landscaping, car rides, relaxing on the river and time with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Bernadette M Lee, son Robert E (Betty) Lee Jr, daughter Tamara (Randy) Merida, daughter Lynn (Jim) Auclair, son Dave (Sandy) Tallman, all of his beloved grandchildren Mellissa (Craig) Simon, Michael Lee, Timothy Lee, Errik (Kaitlyn) Kendall, Jesse Auclair, India Lee, Kyra Lee, sister Sonja Frank, brother Alfred "Sandy" Lee, four great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and numerous additional family and friends. He is preceded in death by his father Alfred Lee, mother Gladys Lee, sister Estella Scherbert, sister Edith Eloff, brother David Adrian, daughter-in-law Stephanie Lee and son Steven E Lee. We would like to extend a special and heartfelt thank you to the caring and wonderful staff of Tivoli who saw to Bob's comfort and needs during his time with them... the place he called "home". In lieu of flowers, should family or friends desire, contributions may be sent to Grasse Funeral Home c/o Bernadette Lee.

The graveside funeral service for Robert E Lee "Bob" is scheduled for 1:00 PM Thursday, September 19 at Highland Memorial Garden Center, 3054 Highway BB (Cottage Grove Road) Madison/Cottage Grove. After the Service a Luncheon will provided at the Schoenstatt Sisters Of Mary at 5901 Highway BB, Cottage Grove. Parking & entrance is to the rear of the building.
