Robert Leonard Kronberg, age 77, of rural Rio passed away peacefully March 28, 2023 after a battle with cancer. He had a rich life that brought happiness to many. He was born September 26, 1945 to Leonard and Olga (Quam) Kronberg.
He was a graduate of Columbus High School. He married Karen Pulsfus October 7, 1967. They formed a lifetime partnership on their dairy farm and raised three sons. Bob thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed snowmobiling, square dancing, playing cards, going to auctions, and traveling. He was a Badger, Packers, and Brewer fan.
Bob is survived by his wife Karen; sons Todd (Becky) of Milton, Paul (JoAnn) of Rio, and Craig (Jen) of Johnston, IA; five grandchildren, Ben, Sara, Lydia, Joe, and Ivy; sister JoAnn (Gene) Benisch; brothers-in-law John Porter, Dick Benzine, and Larry (Jayne) Pulsfus. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Ruth Porter and Judy Benzine.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, April 1, 2023 at 11 A.M. at Spring Prairie Lutheran Church in Keyeser with Rev. Rich Bursh officiating. Interment will follow at Hampden Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9 A.M. until the time of service at the church. Memorials can be made to Spring Prairie Lutheran Church or UW Children’s Hospital.
