Reginald (Reggie) L. Kraemer, 61 of Columbus, passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at his home after a long battle with heart disease. He was born December 12, 1960 in Reedsburg, the son of Leon and Dorothy (Moore) Kraemer.
Reggie grew up on the family farm in Plain, WI. He graduated from River Valley Schools and enlisted in the Army where he was stationed in the U.S. and Germany. After an honorable discharge from the service, he spent over 20 years working at Lake City Glass in Madison, WI. Reggie was a past member of Merrimac Fire and Rescue where he received many awards including Firefighter of the Year. In being an avid outdoorsman, he fulfilled his lifelong dream of living in the northwoods up until moving closer to his children and grandchildren where he spent the remainder of his years.
Survivors include his children; Kara of Madison, Kassie (Todd) of Windsor, and Kody (fiance Becky) of Deforest; grandchildren Presley, Vivianne, Nash, and Jubel; grand furbabies; siblings Alice (Bill) Brickl, Butch (Mary Ann) Kraemer, Linda (Rod) Eberle and Juanita (Jack) Retrum; sister-in-law Jan Kraemer and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends all over the state. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Dean Kraemer.
A celebration of Reginald’s life will be held Saturday, January 29,2022 at the VFW Post 7694, 700 VFW Drive, Prairie Du Sac, WI 53578 from 11 AM to 3 PM.
