Randall J. Kovalaske

Randall J. Kovalaske age 71 of Rio Wi passed away on 02/13/2024.  He was born on 02/09/1953 the third son of Charles Keith Kovalaske and Mae Kovalaske-Sommers.

Randy grew up on a farm with his 9  siblings in Rio. He was responsible for many antics, some which made you laugh while others made you cry. He graduated from Rio High School, the class of "71".He attended MATC for welding, metallurgy processes and procedures and equipment. He worked at John Deere, Stainless Tank and Equipment, the Power Plant in Portage and then Enerson and Eagan in Cambria WI. Randy was married to Crystal Schiller from 1974 to 1988.

He struggled with use and dependency and compromising health problems. He  enjoyed motorcycle riding in his younger years, hunting and fishing when his health permitted. His last hospitalization was a 7 week confinement with multiple procedures and surgeries. He found peace 4 days after his 71st birthday. Some of us lost a father, grandfather, brother, or friend. The world changes from year to year, and our lives change from day to day so select a happy memory of Randy to tuck away.

Survivors include his daughters Rebecca (Mike) Henry, Tabetha (Adam) Patrow, 2 grandsons Guyton and Beckham and 3 step grandchildren Lindsey, Austin and Emily.  Brothers; David (wife Jean), John (Nancy), Tim (wife Bonnie), Gary, Ken (Deb), Bryon (wife Julie). Sisters: Karen, Ann ( husband Mike).  Many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Charles Kovalaske, mother Mae Sommers, sister Beth Kovalaske, one granddaughter Paige Patrow, sister-in-law Jacelyn Kovalaske and brother-in-law Tim Sell.

Burial will be at St Patrick's Cemetery in Doylestown WI. on  March 2nd at 11 am. with graveside service only. Private gathering with refreshments  for all family at Mama Chaz's in Rio Wi. to follow.
