Penelope Shreve, age 82, of Dalton, passed away Monday, July 6, 2026 at Aspirus Divine Savior Hospital in Portage. She was born December 28, 1943 in Oshkosh, WI to Vincent and Phyllis Maillard.

On May 7, 1979, Penelope married the love of her life, Donald Shreve, in Green Lake, WI. Penelope had a lifelong love of music that she joyfully shared with her children and grandchildren, teaching them to play various instruments, mainly guitar. She created memories that will be treasured for generations. She was especially fond of animals and throughout her life had many different pet companions. She served as a 4-H leader for several years sharing her knowledge and talents. In her spare time, she enjoyed listening to music, playing the guitar, knitting, crocheting, and sewing beautiful doll clothes for her children and grandchildren. Her creativity, kindness, and generous spirit were evident in everything she made and shared with those she loved. 

She is survived by her husband Donald Shreve of Dalton; children Kenneth Freundt of Livingston, Montana, Elizabeth (Allen) Logan of Dalton and Cynthia (Timothy) Rowell of Dalton; grandchildren Jonathan (Ashley) Freundt, Anthony Logan and Matthew Rowell; she also leaves behind  8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; aunts and uncles, mother and father in law; and her beloved fur babies.

A Celebration of life will be held Friday, August 14, 2026 from 4:00 P.M to 7:00 P.M. at the Dalton Town Hall. W6368 Pine St. Dalton,WI.
