Patsy Rigdon Obituary

Patsy “Ann” Leflar Rigdon, age 86, of Amarillo, Texas, passed away in the comfort of her daughter’s home in Dalton, Wisconsin July 4, 2021. Ann was born on January 16, 1935 in Haskell, Texas. The daughter of James “Eli” and Fannie Maynette (Holmes) Leflar. She was married to Jack K. Rigdon, Sr. on September 26, 1953 in Tucumcari, New Mexico. 

As a school girl, Ann attended Margaret Wills Elementary, Sam Houston Junior High and Amarillo High School. She married and became a mother and full time homemaker for many years. Later in life Ann graduated from the New Mexico Academy of Cosmetology to pursue becoming a hairdresser. A true follower of the Lord, Ann attended Trinity Fellowship in Amarillo, Texas for many years. She loved going to garage sales, working in her yard, and gatherings with friends and family. 

Survivors include her daughter: Teresa Ann (Rigdon) Buchs; grandchildren Amy LeAnn (Allen) Hill, J Garrett Allen and Amanda (Jones) Allen; great-grandchildren Tyler Davis Hill, Sarah LeAnn Hill, Matthew Garrett Hill, Addison Cate Allen, Caylor Reese Allen and Emery Grace Allen. She was preceded in death by her son Charles Russell Rigdon; daughter and son-in-law Rhonda Sue (Rigdon) VanCleave and Reginald VanCleave; sister Tommy Jo (Leflar) Rigdon , and parents James “Eli” and Fannie Maynette (Holmes) Leflar. 

Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service officiated by Pastor Greg Corona at Llano Cemetery in Amarillo, Texas July 16, 2021 at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America or to your local hospice organization.
