Michael R. Cutsforth, age 78, of Rio passed away October 25, 2024 peacefully at Meadows in Fall River, WI. He was born to Roy and June (Shew) Cutsforth July 17, 1946.

He attended Rio Public School and graduated in 1966. He was united in marriage to Darlene Stark March 8, 1969 in Columbus, WI. They were blessed with two children, Brian and Michelle.

Mike was a hard worker. He worked for numerous jobs, Teel’s Plastics, Rexams Medical Packaging, and Jaxco. Mike became an avid runner when he was laid off from work for something to do. He would walk up to 6 miles daily. Many times one of the dogs on his regular route would follow him home. He loved his children and fast cars.

He is survived by his wife Darlene; son Brian; daughter Michelle (Al Salvatore); grandchildren Vincent and Angelina Salvatore; and brothers Stephen Cutsforth and Bob Cutsforth. Mike was preceded in death by his parents Roy and June Cutsforth, and in-laws Gilbert and Dorothy Stark.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 5 at 11 AM at Grasse Funeral Home in Rio with Rev. Ann Walsvik officiating. Interment will follow at Bonnet Prairie Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9 AM until the time of service.
