Mauneen M. Dykstra Obituary
Mauneen Marjorie (Andersen) Dykstra, age 90, of Randolph, died peacefully and went to be with Jesus on Monday, February 5, 2024. She was born July 27,1933 in Portage WI and was the daughter of Rudolph “Mike” and Elsie Andersen.
She married the love of her life William “Bill” Dykstra on June 30, 1951. She loved life. Together they enjoyed camping and traveling in Wisconsin and Minnesota when they were younger. They then expanded to traveling across the U.S.in their motorhome during retirement. She often referred to the motorhome years as the best of her life. Mauneen worked for National Trailer Convoy as a dispatcher for several years. She primarily blessed her husband and children by providing unending amounts of love and care in every way imaginable as a wife and mother. She was the epitome of the world’s greatest mother. She was also active as a mentor in Crossroads Prison Ministry writing to prisoners and assisting them with devotions and study material. She was always especially energized by the time spent with her great grandchildren.
She is survived by her three sons, Mike (Patty) of Dunedin, FL, Dan (Mary) of Beaver Dam, WI, Steve (Jackie) of Rio, WI; brother in-law Alden (Al) Dykstra; sister in-laws Joan Dykstra of Holiday, FL and Elaine Humble (Dykstra) of Mount Juliet, TN; 2 nephews, 8 nieces, 11 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband William (Bill); her parents Mike and Elsie Andersen; parents in-law Peter and Josie Dykstra; daughter Kathy (Gumm); grand daughter Jennelle Dykstra; grandson Logan Dykstra; brother Nicholas “Nick” Andersen; sister Barbara Andersen (Firari); brother in-law Chuck Dykstra; sister in-law Sharon Dykstra; niece Julie Dykstra; and nephew Jim Firari.
Memorial Services will be held Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 11:30 AM at Faith Bible Church, N4777 Elm St. Rio, WI. Visitation will be held from 10 AM until time of service. Luncheon to follow after service.
