Mary Casper Obituary

Mary Annette Casper, 86 of Pardeeville, passed away leaving her body around 7:15 A.M. C.D.T. Sunday, October 15, 2023 at AGRACE HOSPICE in Fitchburg, Wisconsin. Although Mary (my mom) wanted to pass away in our home, she passed on into the presence of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and was saved by his grace through faith in his shed blood and believing the truth of the gospel of Christ. Mary is survived by her only son David Casper 56, who also lives at the residence in Pardeeville, Wisconsin. Mom is also survived by her brother Leonard Skoczek of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Although we are a relatively small family left here in this present world, mom is learning who her real family is now in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.

Mom has had and was blessed with a long history here in Pardeeville although originally born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Mary was a stay-at-home wife and mother. She was married to Daniel Thomas Casper who is a former Police Officer from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and also buried here in Pardeeville preceding his wife Mary's death in 1995 at age 63.

Both Mary and her husband Dan have been coming to the Pardeeville area since their honeymoon and eventually living here and raising their son David through High School and some college. For much of Mary's life, she enjoyed many friends and contacts as she was always very friendly to many people and worked at various places through the years including Allen Bradley Company in Milwaukee, Chula Vista in the Wisconsin Dells as a server, a Pink-Lady volunteer at the original Divine Savior Hospital in Portage and other places.  She also worked a long stretch of years as a Walmart greeter and associate in Portage for many years and was known there by many people along her life journey.

Mary was also known to enjoy writing poetry and spending time reading and researching her interests at the Angie William Cox Library in Pardeeville. Mary recently had two back-to-back hip surgeries and other complications which resulted in labor and sorrow as her son David tried to care for her at home while on Hospice in her last days.

Mary's son David Casper will be planning a CELEBRATION OF LIFE, date to be announced at Achterberg Archery / Pardeeville Sports Club 22, located just south of Pardeeville on Highway 22. Mary's son David wrote this OBITUARY with tears of sorrow and joy. I would also like to thank many of you for your ongoing prayers and support for me during this time.

In closing, I would like to share these last thoughts from the word of God THE HOLY BIBLE (KJV).

Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints. —PSALM 116:15

The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength, they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.
—PSALM 90:10

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast.
—EPHESIANS 2:8-9

May God bless each and every one of you.
