Mary Baerwolf Obituary

Mary Jane Baerwolf, age 89, of Fall River, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2026, just one month before celebrating her 90th birthday.

Mary was born on July 16, 1936, to Henry and Frances (Bell) Konkel. On February 6, 1954, she married Robert E. Baerwolf, and together they built a life centered on family, hard work, and caring for others.

Mary was known for her strong work ethic and generous heart. She never hesitated to lend a helping hand and found great joy in serving others. Her kindness, positive outlook, and willingness to put others before herself left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.

Family was the center of Mary’s world. One of the greatest acts of love in her life was caring for her daughter, Connie “Tootie”, through many health challenges. Mary devoted herself wholeheartedly to her family and found her greatest happiness in spending time with those she loved.

Mary found joy in many simple pleasures throughout her life. She loved sewing, working on puzzles, gardening, and decorating her home for every holiday and season. She took great pride in her flower gardens and was always vigilant about keeping squirrels away from the plants she worked so hard to nurture. Whether creating something with her hands, tending her garden, or making her home festive and welcoming for family gatherings, Mary poured love into everything she did.

She especially enjoyed trips to the casino with her sisters, creating cherished memories filled with laughter and companionship.

Mary was also an exceptional baker. She delighted in making dozens of cookies for family and friends. Her chocolate torte was a favorite among many, and her homemade pies were legendary among family and friends. Whether for a holiday gathering, family celebration, or simply because someone stopped by to visit, Mary’s desserts were always eagerly anticipated and lovingly shared.

Mary is survived by her six children: Bonnie (Bob) Tetzlaff, Donnie Baerwolf, Ronnie (Pam Sydow) Baerwolf, Tommie (Denise) Baerwolf, David (Kathy) Baerwolf, and Donna (Bill Brink) Baerwolf; her siblings, Genevieve Pueschner, Margery Halverson, Robert (Shirley) Konkel, and Tom (Donna) Konkel; 20 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert E. Baerwolf; her daughter, Connie Patterson; son-in-law, Pappy Patterson; granddaughter Jennifer Barnett; sister Gertrude Thelen; and daughter-in-law Laurie Baerwolf.

A graveside memorial and burial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2026, at Fountain Prairie Cemetery, N3484 WI-146, Fall River, WI. The family will also be laying to rest the cremated remains of her husband, Robert during the graveside service, honoring their lifelong love and reunion. In accordance with Mary’s wishes, no formal funeral service or luncheon will be held.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family to help offset the costs associated with her final arrangements. The family sincerely appreciates your kindness, support, and prayers during this time.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the amazing Agrace team for helping them through this difficult time. A special thank you is also extended to Carina Price for her compassionate care and for helping keep Mary comfortable. The family is deeply grateful to everyone who took the time to visit Mary and share in her final days.

Though her hands are now at rest, the love, kindness, and countless acts of generosity she shared throughout her life will continue to bless those who knew her. Mary’s legacy of kindness, devotion to family, and unwavering love for others will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
