Marlene D Gehrke

Marlene Gehrke, age 95, died on October 24, 2023, at Maplewood Nursing Home, Sauk City, WI after a long battle with dementia.

Marlene was born on February 7, 1928, to Fred and Mary (Neumann) Schulte, in the Town of Washington, Sauk County, Wisconsin.
She was a 1945 graduate of Reedsburg High School. On May 31, 1947, she was united in marriage to Ervin Gehrke, who preceded her in death on August 5, 1983. 
Marlene worked for the Farmers and Merchants Bank in Reedsburg for 31 years prior to her retirement. She was a faithful member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Loganville, WI.

Survivors include two sons, Larry (Joan) Gehrke and David (Karen) Gehrke; three grandsons, Kevin
Gehrke; Ryan Gehrke and Marc (Kristin) Gehrke.

In addition to her husband, Ervin, she was preceded in death by her parents, brother Edward Schulte;
four sisters, Hilda Schiefelbein, Elsie Schulenburg, Alma Winecke and Bertha Koenig.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Agrace Hospice and Maplewood Nursing Home in
Sauk City, WI for the excellent care that Marlene received.

There will be a private funeral. The Grasse Funeral Home in Reedsburg is assisting the family.
Memorials in Marlene’s name may be made to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Loganville, WI, or Agrace
Hospice.
