Mark W. Breneman Obituary

Mark Breneman of Pardeeville, WI, was unexpectedly called home by his Lord and Savior on January 10, 2026, at the age of 51.

Mark loved Jesus, and it was this relationship that made him a great man.

Mark was a loving husband and proud father. As a teenager, Mark met Jean Rockhill at Quest for Christ, the youth group at Grace Presbyterian Church. She was the love of his life, and they married on May 29, 1999. Together, they had two children, Abigail and Harrison. From fishing with Harrison to sharing dad jokes with Abby, Mark cherished every moment he got to spend with his children, whom he dearly loved.

Mark was an Elder at Grace Presbyterian Church and a strong example for all who have a heart to serve. Whether it was a helping hand or listening ear, Mark was quick to fill a need and his heart for people was evident throughout. Still, Mark was so humble as he served that most never knew about the many roles and needs he filled.

A tech guru, many knew him through his work within the IT field. Having graduated from Pardeeville High School in 1993 and then from Madison College with a degree in electronics, Mark spent nearly all of his career serving ministries, including 14 years with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. Mark also was a dedicated member of the Pardeeville Area Community Car and Truck Show, managing their website and other tech items. Mark recently started his own consulting business and was looking forward to a new position as Senior Technology Consultant with EM:RAP (Emergency Medicine Reviews and Perspectives).

Mark was a great man, but all of those who knew him would know that Mark’s final wish would not be for his own praise, but that others would know the grace he found. Mark had a passion for the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and he had a vision for how technology could be used to communicate that message.

Paul writes in 1 Timothy, "this saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance: 'Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners.'" This is the gospel---the power of God to change lives---and if you have not trusted Jesus with your life, one way you can honor Mark is to simply look into the claims of Jesus Christ for yourself. You, too, can be made right before God through the same gift of grace Mark had found.

A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. at Grace Presbyterian Church, N7631 WI-22, Pardeeville, WI, with Rev. Chuck Walton officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service. Interment will be held at the Pardeeville Cemetery.
