Marion Gudenschwager, age 97, of Hillpoint, WI, passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at the Sauk County Health Care Center. She was born June 29, 1928 in Reedsburg, WI to Emil and Dorathea (Kruse) Schulz.

Marion graduated from Reedsburg High School. On November 29, 1946, she was united in marriage to Glenn Gudenschwager in Hillpoint. Together they built a life rooted in faith, family, and community. Marion was employed at the Badger Ammunition Plant, where she worked as a press operator.

She was a devoted member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Hillpoint. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she was actively involved in church activities. Marion was a member of the St. Paul Ladies Aide for more than 70 years and sang in the St. Paul choir for over 60 years, sharing her time and talents generously.

Marion found joy in simple pleasures and creative pursuits. She loved gardening and was talented in crocheting, knitting, counted cross stitch, and baking. Her handmade items and baked goods were cherished by family and friends.

She is survived by her children Paulette (David) Smit and David (Deb) Gudenschwager; grandchildren Brian (Tracy) Gudenschwager, Chris Selje, Rebecca (Scott) Kamphuis, and Angela (Josh) Herringa; step grandchildren Derrick (Candy) Smit and Jeff Smit; numerous great grandchildren, step great-grandchildren great-great grandchildren, and step great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, February 28, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Hillpoint with Pastor Tim Anderson officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at church.
