Lila Barton, age 98, of Wyocena, passed away Thursday, September 26, 2024. She was born June 20, 1926. 

Lila married Robert Clark Barton January 22, 1955. She worked at the Hosiery in Portage, the (OLD) Shoe Factory, and then retired from Flambeau Plastics in Baraboo. Lila loved to be outdoors picking up sticks, watching campfires, fishing and camping. She was known for her homemade bread and peanut butter cookies.

She is survived by her sons Albert G. Barton, Curtis C. (Donna) Barton, and Dale D. Barton (Carrie Collens) and daughter April M. (Leslie) Luther. She was preceded in death by her husband; her sons Wayne R. Sell, Terry H. Sell, and Robert Harold Barton; grandson Jeremy Joel Barton Watson; siblings, Marjorie Putman (Burright), Donald Burright, Marion Kaleas (Burright), Jane Herrington (Burright), Merritt Burright, Daniel Simerson, Robert E Simerson, Roberta Simerson and Lawrence Simerson.

Visitation will be held Friday, October 3, 2024 from 2 PM until 4 PM at Grasse Funeral Home in Pardeeville. Inurnment will take place at the Lyndon Cemetery in Lyndon Station. 

She will be greatly missed.
