Larry N. Gumz, age 62, of Rio, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on November 16, 2023. He was born on July 6, 1961 in Portage to Edward and Vivian Gumz.

Larry married Patricia Gumz on September 15, 1989 in Portage. He was a welder for almost 40 years. Larry was an avid outdoorsman. In his freetime he enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and spending time with his beloved grandchildren. Larry had a big heart and always made himself available to help family and friends.

His survivors include his wife Patricia Gumz; son Tyrone (Ashley) Gumz; his grandchildren Landon and Vivian Gumz; brothers Michael and Randy Gumz; sister Linda (Tom) Keip; nephew Cody Gumz and niece Angela (Joe) Tate. Larry was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Vivian Gumz and his sister Connie Gumz.

Celebration of life will be December 1, 2023 at the Otsego Town Hall from 2 PM until 6 PM.
