LaVerne G Wagner Obituary

LaVerne Gladys Wagner, age 95, of Reedsburg, passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at Reedsburg Area Senior Life Center. She was born March 26, 1931 to Gladys and Elmer Kapelke.


She graduated from Reedsburg High School and on June 4, 1949, was united in marriage to George Henry Wagner in Reedsburg. LaVerne dedicated her life to farming, working alongside her husband and taking great pride in her work.


 LaVerne was a devoted member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Reedsburg. In her free time, she found great joy in quilting, crocheting, embroidery, and gardening. Her creativity and care were reflected in everything she made and nurtured.


LaVerne will be remembered for her strong work ethic, her dedication to her family, and the warmth she brought to those around her.


She is survived by her niece Sandy Champeau; nephew Leonard Wagner; nephew Ed (Marie) Wagner; niece Patricia (Wagner) Miller; and sister-in-law Bernice Herritz; and other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Alice Wagner; and husband George.


Graveside Service will be held Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. at Oak Hill Cemetery in North Freedom with Pastor Kris Totzke officiating.
