Kathleen (Kathy) Meronek, 83 of Reedsburg, passed away July 8, 2023.  She was born September 2, 1939 in Kenosha, WI, the daughter of David J. & Dorothy W. (Kersten) Clohesey.

Kathy was united in marriage to Thomas J. Meronek October 1, 1960 in Kenosha at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She was educated in Kenosha & Milwaukee and was a registered Radiological Technologist working for 50 years in the field. In 2011, she retired after working 38 at Reedsburg Area Medical Center.

Kathy enjoyed gardening, quilting, and writing. She was a member of Reedsburg United Methodist Church, Memoirs Club of Reedsburg, and was a former member of AMC Foundation for nine years. She was blessed to have taken care of the Tree of Life at Reedsburg Area Medical Center for 25 years. She was also the secretary for the Reedsburg Old Settlers Club.

She is survived by her distant son and family, James & Kelly Meronek; granddaughters, Sophia & Abigail; sister-in-law Kathy Chitwood; special cousins, Don & Lynnette Van Beckum; special friend Joan Simon of Reedsburg and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Thomas; sister Joan (Russ) York of California and special friend Laurie Brey.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 22, 2023 at 11 AM at Grasse Funeral Home in Reedsburg. Visitation will be held from 10 AM until the time of service. She will be laid to rest at Oak Lawn Cemetery in LaValle at a later date.
