Kathleen Ann (Moran) Johnson, age 83, passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at home. She was born on January 13, 1943 to Amelia (McFarlane) Martin and Willard Moran in Madison, WI.

Kathy spent most of her childhood in Deforest, WI, where she graduated in 1961. On June 16, 1961, she married Clifford Johnson. They raised four children; Mitchell, Wendie, Thomas, and April. 

In 1991 Kathy and Cliff moved to New Garus, WI. In 1994 they opened a Native American gift shop with son Tom and daughter April. In 2003 Kathy and Cliff moved to Rio and then later to Doylestown. She worked in insurance for a lot of her adult life, most recently for American Family. She retired in 2022.

Kathy is survived by her 3 sisters Karen (Mike) Brynd, Stephanie Ford, Donnell (Frank) Haack; 4 children Mitchell (Tina) Johnson, Wendie (Ken) Staveness, Thomas Johnson, April (Skyler) Severson; 7 grandchildren Stan (Hannah Grafton) Corning, Tabitha (Andy) Pulvermacher, Mitchell (Caitlyn) Johnson, Tiffany Johnson, Jacob Johnson, Joseph (Grace) Severson, and Isaac Severson; and one great-grandson, Ryder Lee Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her husband Clifford Johnson; parents: Amelia (Robert) Martin and Willard Moran; brothers Dennis Moran and Robert Hicks; and sister in law Jean Payne.

Kathy's Funeral Service will be held Saturday, June 27, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Rio, WI (610 Lincoln Ave.) with Pastor Anne Wickland presiding. Visitation will be held from 9:30 A.M. until the time of Service at Church. Snacks and refreshments to follow.
