Julie A. Grueneberg Obituary
Pardeeville - Julie Ann Grueneberg, age 56, passed away peacefully Sunday, January 4, 2026 surrounded by her family, following a courageous battle with breast cancer.
Julie was born on July 9, 1969 to Lynn and Diane Grueneberg, the youngest of two girls. She graduated from Pardeeville High School in 1988 where she was a standout volleyball player. Julie kept that passion for volleyball by continuing to play for years into adulthood. She continued that passion by cheering on her daughters and granddaughters as they continued that family tradition. Her love of sports continued with her love for the Packers, she was religious about watching every game and was always sure to share her opinion with the TV.
Julie had one of those personalities that could strike up a conversation with anybody. She also had spunk, the kind of spunk that you knew when she entered the room. She was always known for care and compassion for others and throughout her battle with breast cancer over the years, she was always encouraging everybody else at treatments to keep up the fight. Julie herself was definitely a warrior, she fought everything that cancer threw at her right up to the very end.
She had many passions including gardening and cooking a meal big enough to feed an army. She was known for her fantastic soups and when her health allowed, hosting Sunday family dinners that nobody left hungry. Her biggest passion was her grandbabies. She was very proud of all of them and loved watching them grow. Whether it was the sleepovers with grandma or helping her with chores, she loved the time she got to spend with them. Julie also loved any and all animals, she had many pets over the years that she loved dearly whether it be horses, dogs, cats, birds, or even Nathan the pig, each one held a special place in her heart.
Julie is survived by her daughters, Heather (Matthew) Weatherwax of Pardeeville and Kimberly (Thomas) Kehoe of Rio; Grandchildren: Makensey and Kayden (Gracie Postler) Miller, Addison Paul, Vada Weatherwax, and Hunter Kehoe; Sister: Carol (Michael) Babcock of Pardeeville; Nieces: Emily (Chris) Woelfel and Sarah Babcock of Pardeeville; Great-niece: Vivienne; Close friends: Brad Howell, Carol Calleia, her favorite four-legged friends Leon, Hank, and Millie, and many other near and dear family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, January 31, 2026 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Pardeeville Senior Center, 113 Industrial Dr, Pardeeville, WI.
