Judy L. Neumann Obituary

Judy Lea (Humbert) Neumann, a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, cherished sister, and dear friend, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2026. She was born to Harold (Jerry) and Mary (Vial) Humbert and raised in Blue River and Loganville, Wisconsin. Judy graduated from Reedsburg High School in 1968.

On August 14, 1971, Judy married the love of her life, Dennis, beginning a marriage filled with partnership, love and laughter, and shared joy. Together they raised three beautiful children: Chris (Agnieszka) Neumann, Shean Severson, and Dennis (Jen) Neumann. Judy was a proud grandmother to Marcelinka, Jan Michael, Tomas, Matti, Boe, Phynn, Ashlynn, Jordy, and each of whom brought her immeasurable happiness.

She will be remembered for her generous heart, welcoming nature, and the deep love she had for her family and home. Judy was often the person others turned to for thoughtful advice, offering wisdom, honesty, and comfort with a calm and caring heart. Family was always at the center of her life, shaping the warmth and care she extended to everyone she knew.

Judy loved living on the farm, which became a place where memories were made and traditions were born. Everyone was always welcome there. Over the years, the farm became a second home for countless nieces, nephews, friends, and the many friends of her children. Laughter, connection, and love filled the farm, and everyone who visited felt the warmth Judy so naturally shared.

An avid sports fan, Judy enthusiastically cheered for the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, and Wisconsin Badgers, proudly following her favorite teams. She was also an enthusiastic reader who cherished quiet moments with a good book.

Judy had a natural gift for connecting with people. She built a successful career in sales at WRDB and Christmas Mountain Village, where she was known as a highly accomplished and respected salesperson and where she made many lifelong friends. Her warmth, work ethic, and ability to make others feel valued left a lasting impression on coworkers and clients alike.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her dear twin sister, Jane, whose loss she carried close to her heart; and her brother-in-law, Dan Schyvinck.

Judy is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Dennis Neumann; her beloved three children and eight grandchildren; her sisters Jill (Joe) Machovec and Jara Schyvinck; her brother-in-law, Donald Neumann; and many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends with whom she shared countless memories and moments of joy.

Judy’s life was defined by love, generosity, and an open door. Her presence made ordinary moments special, and her absence will be deeply felt. Though she is gone, the memories created at the farm and the love she shared will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

A funeral service to celebrate Judy’s life will be held at 10AM on Monday, January 26, 2026, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Hillpoint, with Pastor Tim Anderson officiating. Visitation will be held at 9 AM until the time of service at Church. Burial will be held at St. Paul Cemetery at a later date.
