Obituary

Joseph Stuchlik, 80 of Portage, passed away Friday, February 17, 2023 at the Wyocena Health Care Center. He was born September 23, 1942 in Chicago, IL as the second son to John J. and Margaret M. (Suleckey) Stuchlik.

Joe served in the US Navy aboard the U.S.S. Valley Forge until 1963, during the Vietnam War Ara. Joseph was a machinist most of his life down in the North Chicago area. For vacations, he liked to come up to Wisconsin and spend time fishing with his dad and brothers. He always made it up for Thanksgiving for family and the food! He had a love for all the diverse wildlife, especially the deer and cranes. 

Survivors include his brothers; Jim Stuchlik of Waunakee, Craig (MaryAnn) Stuchlik of Mauston, and Paul (Colleen) Stuchlik of Madison; sisters, Winnie (Bill) Schumann of Portage and Connie Dolajeck of Portage. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews. Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, step mother Jean Stuchlik; brother John Stuchlik; brother-in-law Craig Dolajeck, and the love of his life, Josephine Gober. 

A private family service will be held. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Columbia Health Care Center in Wyocena and the Heritage House in Portage for their help with Joe.
