Janet M. Redfern

Janet Mary Redfern of Reedsburg, passed away peacefully March 4, 2023. Janet was born January 22, 1946 in Hazel Green, WI to Emmaline and George Redfern. Janet was one of twelve children.

She was raised with her sister Katholeen and brother Kenny in a foster home from the age of three to eighteen. She attended schools in Reedsburg. She resided in Madison for many years where she was employed at Saint Marys Hospital. After age 64 , Janet moved in with her sister Katholeen in Reedsburg, WI for five years and from there to Howard Wynn Villa apartments with her two beloved kitties Peaches and Calico. Janet developed stage 4 cancer and moved from her home into the Reedsburg area Senior Life Center where she resided until she went home to be with Jesus March 4, 2023.

Janet was an artist who painted all kinds of pictures from chapels, cabins, to the parting of the red sea. She gave most of her pictures to her sister Kate and to a few special friends. Janet loved all animals, especially her beloved cats and dogs.

Janet is survived by her sister Katholeen, and preceded in death by all other family. Janet has gone to heaven. She will be missed by her sister Kate and her friend Tina. As well as her special friends at Phylis Burgis and Mary Florence at the Howard Wynn Villa.

There will be no formal service for Janet at her request. In lieu of flowers, Janet requests donations to be made for the care of her two kitties Peaches and Calico. Cards can be mailed to Katholeen Toeder; P.O Box 231 Wisconsin Dells WI, 53965.
