Geoffrey “Geo” E. Grover, age 37, of Columbus, WI, passed away on January 14, 2026 at his home. He was born on November 15, 1988 in Mesa, AZ, the son of Glenn E. Grover and Jane M. (Cummings) Grover.

Geo worked for many years as an arborist and tree trimmer, a line of work well-suited to his love of the outdoors and physical activity. He truly felt most at home in nature and enjoyed hiking, fishing, camping, swimming, and kayaking—any opportunity to be outside brought him joy. Geoff loved to work out at the gym and loved being "ripped" and fit. It is something he shared doing with many of his friends.

Geo had a deep love for music and spent many happy years attending music festivals, where he found connection, freedom, and joy. Spending time with his family was very important to him, especially with his nieces and nephews. A big kid at heart, Geo loved to laugh, play, and be present with those he cared about.

He was always willing to help others and was known for his warm spirit, infectious smile, and the best hugs you could ever receive. Geo will be deeply missed by his loving family and the many friends whose lives were better for knowing him.

Geo is survived by his mother, Jane (Greg Dettmann) Grover of Doylestown, WI; his father, Glenn (Denise Cromwell) Grover of Mesa, AZ; three sisters, Hannele Castellanos and her children Roman and Seneca of Tucson, AZ, Vanessa (Chris) Johnson and their children Sawyer, Lincoln, Josephine, Emily, and Roland of Burnett, WI, and Kendall (Kason) Braley and their daughter Avery of San Tan Valley, AZ; two stepbrothers, Clay Dettmann of Lodi, WI and Ty (Jodi Mertins) Dettmann of Cambria, WI; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, many friends, and his beloved feline companion Kaya.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Allen and Sally Cummings, and his paternal grandparents, Gilbert and Dolores Grover.

A memorial service for Geo will be on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at 1:00 PM at Grasse Funeral Home, 401 Angel Way, Rio, WI. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
