Gene A. Buzzell, age 81 of Pardeeville, passed away Saturday, February 24 at Hospice House in Baraboo with his loving wife by his side. Gene was born June 1, 1942 in Madison, WI to Adeline and Glen Buzzell.

After graduating from Pardeeville in 1960 he went on to work as a spray painter for Everbrite in Pardeeville until his retirement. Gene was very active in the Pardeeville community serving on the Village board and Lake district. He was also a long-standing member of the Lions and Curling Clubs.

One of his greatest joys was going to Pardeeville High School sports games and car shows showing his 1959 Studebaker. He also enjoyed hanging out in the garage solving world problems with his buddies.

Gene is survived by Sonya, his loving wife of 60 years; 2 sons Phillip (Deb) Buzzell of Portage and Michael Buzzell (Angel) of Sauk City; 2 grandchildren; Brad Meyers of Montello and Heidi (Jarrid) Mallinson of Janesville; 4 great-grandchildren, Kailee Meyers (Tyler Muckey) of Arkdale, Janessa Meyers of Pardeeville, Phillip and Paxton Mallinson of Janesville; 1 great-great-granddaughter Delilah Muckey of Arkdale; Sister Janice (Vincent) Wardle of Pardeeville; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his sister Sharon Goss.

Celebration of Life will be held on April, 28 from 1 PM to 3 PM at Saddle Ridge Gold Course Restaurant.
