Gary Randall Larson, age 86, of Cambria, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at his home. He was born June 25, 1939 in Portage, WI to Harley and Venita Larson.
After graduating from Pardeeville High School in 1957, he spent many years farming. He later began driving semi-truck for Neesam Trucking in Pardeeville. After driving for Carl Neesam for several years, he bought his own semi-truck and enjoyed being an independent trucker, driving long distance routes across the United States. His favorite routes involved driving through Montana and Wyoming.
Gary married Judy Biven September 3, 1977 in Cambria, WI. He enjoyed snowmobiling, hunting, and fishing. He loved telling stories about how his Grandma Jared taught him to fish when he was young. He always had a dog by his side. He also enjoyed watching birds, deer, and other wildlife from his front porch.
He is survived by his son Lloyd (Barb) Larson of Pardeeville; daughter Lisa (Bryan) McCrumb of Lorton, VA; step-son Jason Harper of Cambria; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Abigail Larstein of Albuquerque, NM. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Judy; and step-daughter Jerilyn Jerome.
A special thank you to Agrace, Darcy Wilkins, Megan Wooster, and Kay Rataczak for taking such great care of Gary.
A Graveside Service will be held Saturday, August 22, 2026 at 10:30 A.M. at Pardeeville Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to Prairie Food Pantry in honor of Gary.
