Florence Magee, age 86, of Montello/Pardeeville, joined her family in Heaven Tuesday, December 23, 2025. She was born in Chicago, IL, the first of 4 children born to Thadius and Sophie Balinski. 

Later in life, Florence moved to rural Montello with her husband, Donald Schultz. Together they owned and operated Glen Oak on County F, where they raised their four children. Following Donald’s passing, Florence later met and married Bill Magee. In 1976, they completed their blended family with the addition of two stepchildren.

She owned and operated Gramma’s Corner Café in Portage, Wisconsin, from 1993 until 2008. Through the café, she not only served her community but also employed many family members, giving several of her grandchildren their very first opportunity to earn a paycheck.

Florence is survived by her son Don (Dolly) Schultz Jr. of Beach Park, IL; daughter Debi Selje of Pardeeville, WI; and stepson Bob (Janet) Magee of Green Bay, WI; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. When Florence went home to Heaven she was met by her parents, one sister, husbands Donald Schultz and Bill Magee; son Ron Schultz; daughter Teri Hawkins; stepson Billy (Dusty) Magee; and great grandson Shaun Bednarek.

Per Florence’s wishes there will be no formal services held. The family would like to thank Grasse Funeral Home in Pardeeville.
