Farol Irma Lunda, 87, of Waunakee, passed away Saturday, February 1, 2020 at Oak Park Place in Madison. She was born January 24, 1933 in McFarland, the daughter of Fredrick and Anna (Vogt) Gunderson.
She was united in marriage to Harvey Lartch and they were blessed with one son, Ricky. Farol graduated from Stoughton High School in 1950 and she also went on to study at Madison Business College. She was employed as a secretary for General Electric for many years. Farol was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Waunakee and taught Sunday School at McFarland Lutheran Church. In her free time, Farol was an avid UW Hockey fan who attended almost every hockey game for over 20 years.
Survivors include her son Ricky Lartch (Ingrid Laas); brother Wayne (Gertrude) Gunderson; sisters Lois Ophime and Elfrieda Strand.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Riley Gunderson; sisters Lucile Siebert and Lenore Schultz, and nephew Gregory Ophime.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 11 at 11:30 AM at Peace Lutheran Church in Waunakee with Rev. Doug Locken officiating. Interment will follow at McFarland Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 AM until the time of services at the church Tuesday. “Whenever I am missing you, I also remember how fortunate I was that you were in my life. I wouldn't trade those moments for the world.”
