Evelyn Dorothy (Schimming) Wiest,age 94 of Pardeeville, passed away Saturday July 6, 2024 at the Columbia County Nursing Home. She was born May 24, 1930 in Berlin, Wi to Fred and Ella Schimming.

She married Herman Wiest December 14, 1946 in Pardeeville. Evelyn was a housewife and a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Pardeeville. She enjoyed visiting old Chicago and having a Busch Light.

Evelyn is survived by her daughters Salley (Marv) Cuff and Barbara (Steve) Rostad; grandchildren Robin (Keith) Merkes, Mark (Elizabeth) Cuff, Casey (Brian) Moen, Stuart (Sheri) Rostad, Erick (Kelly) Rostad, Wednesday Rostad; great grandchildren Bailey, Cambrie, Brayden Moen, Mallory (Shawn) McConochie, Mitchell (Michelle Roche) Merkes, Cade, Naya Rostad, Kailei (Brady) Jerome, Mackenzie (Luke Hengen) Rostad; step great grandchildren Heidi (Josh) Gerike, Robert (Brenda) Hasheider; great great grandchildren Marlie, Lennon, Saylor Rostad, Memphis,Houston McConochie; step great great grandchildren Anna, Sarah, Rebacca, Jacob Gerike, Celia, and Arol Hasheider. She was preceded in death by her husband Herman and mother and father.

Memorial service will be held Thursday, July 11 at 3 PM at the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Pardeeville with Pastor Benjamin Zuberbier officiating. Visitation will be from 2 PM until the time of service at church Thursday. Interment will take place at Marcellon Cemetery in Pardeeville.
