Evaline Virginia Tonn, age 95, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2025, in Columbus, Wisconsin. She was born on July 29, 1929, in Portage, Wisconsin, to the late John Henry and Effie Estelle Heisel.
Evaline was united in marriage to Henry Harold Tonn on June 14, 1952, and together they built a life full of love, family, and cherished memories. The couple made their home in Menomonee Falls from 1964 until 2020, after which Evaline resided in Fall River for her remaining years. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Henry and son in law, Edward Joseph Mulvanny.
A devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Evaline is survived by her children: Harold (Mary) Tonn, Valinda Tonn, and Julie (Scott) Fera. She was a proud grandmother to Nicole (Peter) Lohr, Kimberly (Kyle) Reich, Matthew (Sancia) Tonn, Ian (Crystal) Mulvanny, Melissa (Garrett) Owen-Webber, Cailyn Mulvanny, Amy (Michael) Schussman, Zachary (Sara) Fera, and Nicholas (Claire) Fera. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren: Michael Shaw, Emily Lohr, Andrew Reich, Christian Lohr, Grayson Mulvanny, Marco Edwards, Edward Mulvanny, and Lemonte Edwards.
Evaline had a passion for the home arts and found joy in cooking, collecting recipes, sewing, quilting, gardening, and puzzling. Her hands were rarely idle, and her heart was always full.
A private service will be held on June 2 at Grasse Funeral Home, Rio, Wisconsin with interment to follow at Fountain Prairie Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the local humane society, in honor of Evaline’s deep love for her dachshunds.
