Ellowyn C. Kershaw, age 96, of Pardeeville, passed away peacefully Sunday, September 22, 2024 at Aspirus Divine Savior Hospital in Portage. 

She was born August 13, 1928 in Moundville Wisconsin, the daughter of Arnold and Elsie (Labrenz) Kopplin. She was united in marriage to the love of her life Roger Kershaw on November 13, 1951. Roger and Ellowyn were blessed with 2 children, Byron and Barbara.

Ellowyn worked as a waitress in Portage prior to her marriage. She was a homemaker, loved her children, grand and great grandchildren very much. She enjoyed watching the birds, doing various types of puzzles, or word searches and was an avid euchre player.

Survivors include her children Byron (Laura) Kershaw and Barbara (Dale) Scholl; 2 grandchildren, Aron (Amanda) Kershaw and Eric (Trista) Kershaw, 3 great grandsons Leland, Carter, and Blaine; sisters Helen (Ronald) Dreyer of Oxford and Jeannie (Ronald) Rinaldi of Rockford, and sister-in-law Irma Pendlton.

She was preceded in death by her husband Roger of 66 years; her parents; brothers Elton, William, Harlan and Harold Kopplin; and sisters Marion Hayes, Rosalie Kopplin, and Margaret Thornton.

Funeral services will be held Monday, September 30, 2024 at 11 AM at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 850 Armstrong St. Portage with Rev. Greg Hovland officiating. Interment will follow at Pacific Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9 AM until 10:45 AM at the church on Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Ellowyn’s memory may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church in Portage. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Aspirus Divine Savior Hospital and Columbia Health Care Center for the care they gave Ellowyn.
