Brother you were a trooper
As you marched on through your life
At times just barely walking
Trudging through the strife
As I would Lay me down to sleep
I’d pray the Lord the voices ceased
That you would wake upon the day
To nothing but the Sun’s bright rays
But earthly life brings bumpy rides
So we set our sights on “The other side”
Where life goes on eternally
Where those you love, again you’ll see
Until then my Brother, I must say
Goodbye until we meet that day
I know our loss is Heaven’s gain
A place where you will feel no pain……..
