Douglas J. Abel, 62 of rural Portage, beloved son, husband, brother, step-father, father, grandfather, and friend passed away peacefully Monday, October 23, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family after battling cancer. He was truly the most loving, kind, gentle, hard-working and fun loving man we could ever want in our lives.

A celebration of life date has not been set but will be announced at a later time.
