Dorothy Irene (Dickey) Thompson, age 93, passed away Friday, December 27, 2024 with family by her side. She was born May 18, 1931 in Livingston, WI to Richard and Irene (Livens) Dickey.

Dorothy married Paul Thompson November 23, 1953 at St. Lukes Church in Dubuque, Iowa. She worked at the Department of Motor Vehicle, she was a Nurse’s aid and x-ray technician, and also worked at the Madison General Hospital in the x-ray file room for 30 years. She enjoyed doing counted cross stitch creations, harvesting hickory nuts, and crossword puzzles.

Dorothy is survived by her son Scott (Alice) Thompson; grandchildren Jason (Caroline) McMahon, Angela Thompson, and Amy (Alfredo) Sanabria; great grandchildren Isabel Sanabria, Milo Sanabria, Victor Sanabria, Clare McMahon, and Evelyn McMahon; and sister Lynda Cutler. She was preceded by her parents; sons Robbin and Douglas; siblings Harold (Marilyn) Dickey, Vernon (Joan) Dickey, Donald Dickey, Gertrude (Toby) Neckash, and Buryl Dickey, father and mother in law John and Ingebong (Belle) Thompson; brother in laws Thelmer, Arnold, Edward, Arthur, James (Yvonne); and sister in laws Elineen (Bill) Boegerhoff and Jeanette (Chet) Allen. 

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
