Dorothy L. Brown

Dorothy L. Brown of Pardeeville, WI passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at the Columbia Health Care Center in Wyocena.  Dorothy was born on May 2, 1924 in Portage the daughter of Jacob Edward and Fern Ann (Epstein) Robbins.

She graduated from Pardeeville High School in 1942.  She was united in marriage to Gerald W. Brown on July 20, 1944 in Newport, Rhode Island while he served in the Navy during World World II. Dorothy worked at the Rationing Board, at Badger Ordnance, and as a telephone operator, postal clerk, and at the Village Drug Store in Pardeeville.  She was a member of the Pardeeville Methodist Church and the Pardeeville American Legion Auxiliary.

She is survived by her children: Patricia (Kenwood) Youra of Pardeeville and Richard (Donna) Brown of Sun Prairie; grandchildren, Jason (Karissa) Youra of Portage, Jerry Youra of Fond du Lac, and Aaron (Emily) Brown of Middleton; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Nola Youra of Portage and Joe, Olina, and Oliver Brown of Middleton.  Dorothy was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be missed.

Dorothy’s wish was to be cremated and inurnment next to her husband, Gerald, in Wyocena Cemetery.
