Donna J. Kearney, age 84 of Rio, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at At Home Again in Rio. She was born January 13, 1941 in Otsego to George and Myrtle (Tomlinson) Branton.

Donna married Norman Kearney at Redeemer Lutheran Church February 6, 1960.  She graduated from Rio High School in 1959. Donna, a lifelong member of the Rio community, was active in many different organizations such as, the Rio Community Club, Redeemer Lutheran Church Treasurer, Women of the Church, Altar Guild, Church Council, Red Hatters Club, and generously volunteered her time at the Rio Public Library. She also enjoyed flower gardening.

She is survived by her husband Norman Kearney; daughter-in-law Jeanne Kearney; son Dan (Wendy) Kearney; and daughter Pamela (Kelly) Coles; grandchildren, Michael (Kristina Johnson) Kearney, Matthew (Kara) Kearney; Jordan (Amanda Sylvia) Kearney, Ty Kearney, Brennan Kearney, Trevor ( Rachel Wais) Kearney, Ellie (Junior Alvarado) Coles, James Coles; and great granddaughter Everleigh Thomas. She was preceded in death by her parents Herb and Myrtle; son Brian Kearney; grandson Ty Daniel Kearney; brother Kenneth Branton; in-laws Norman and Gladys Kearney and brother and sister-in-law Ken and Arlene Kearney.

Memorial services will be held Friday, May 30, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Rio. Visitation will be held Friday, May 30, 2025 from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service at Church. Inurnment will follow at Ohio Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Redeemer Church in Rio.
