Dianna Pryse Obituary

Dianna Lynn Pryse, 75, of Pardeeville, passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison. She was born in Green Bay, WI, to Virginia and Elmer Munger September 19, 1947.

Dianna graduated from Appleton Senior High in 1965. A year later she met the love of her life, David L. Pryse. They dated and after asking her three times to marry him, his persistence finally paid off and she accepted. They were married at First English Lutheran Church in Appleton, WI on October 1, 1966. Dianna became a mother and homemaker in 1967 with the birth of her son, Gregory. In 1970, daughter Christina was born. Daughter Karri was born nine years later in 1979.  In 1982, David started his own business, Preferred Appraisal Consultants, and shortly after, the family moved to Pardeeville, WI. There Dianna began to work with David in the appraisal business where they worked together for many years.

In 2001, David and Dianna closed their business and, with son Greg, moved to Davenport, FL. In 2002, their first grandchild, Nathan Michael, was born to Mike and Chrissy in Minneapolis, MN.  Missing their family and friends, David, Dianna, and Greg moved back to Pardeeville, WI in 2004. She got her realtor’s license and became a Licensed Personal Assistant/Office Secretary. Years later Dianna semi-retired and worked part-time as a Legal Assistant.

She also developed a passion for genealogy and spent many hours on her computer compiling information on her family ancestry.  In December of 2015 her second grandchild, Sophie Marianna, was born to Josh and Karri.  Dianna enjoyed spending Sunday afternoons with Sophie where they spent hours reading and playing together.

Throughout the years Dianna was very active in the community where she served as Community Director & Leader for the Blackhawk Council of Girl Scouts and a Council Delegate at the 1990 Girl Scout Convention in Miami.  She was also Secretary for the Angie Cox Library Board, Secretary for the Pardeeville Area Business Association, Church Treasurer and Sunday School teacher at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Rio, WI.

To say that Dianna will be missed is an understatement.  She cared deeply for her family and friends and found peace and comfort in her faith.  She was a kind, loving, and supportive wife and mother.  She had an inner strength and calm spirit that guided us through many challenges – even those faced in the days leading up to her passing.  We miss her terribly and our lives are forever changed. It was an honor to call her Wife, Mother, and Grandma. We couldn’t have asked for a better role model or inspiration.

Dianna is survived by her husband, David; children, Gregory D. Pryse, Chrissy L. Pryse (Mike Mewhorter), and Karri S. Heitke (Josh Heitke); as well as her grandson, Nathan Mewhorter and granddaughter, Sophie Heitke. She is also survived by her three brothers, Brad Munger, Bruce (Robin) Munger, Bill (Jacque) Munger, and sister Tammy (Dennis) Grenier, many nieces and nephews and her beloved dog, Elvis. She was preceded in death by both of her parents.

Memorial Services will be held Monday, June 5, 2023 at 11 am at Grasse Funeral Home in Pardeeville with Rev. Jack Way officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 am until the time of service.
