Dennis Gammeter, Jr. Obituary

Dennis L. Gammeter, Jr. 40, of Pardeeville, passed away Sunday, October 18, 2020 as a result of a car accident. He was born July 10, 1980 in Portage, the son of Dennis Sr., and Dawn Gammeter.

Denny attended Portage Schools and received his diploma online. He worked most of his life alongside his dad with Westview Material, most recently working at Harris Industries in Pardeeville. Denny loved fishing, hunting and hanging out with his friends and family watching movies and sitting around a campfire. He was the fourth kid out of seven but he was the first boy so he always claimed to be the favorite. Denny was always the funniest guy in the room and he never left a room without giving everyone a hug. He was known for his hilarious stories, his contagious laugh, his inappropriate jokes, and being the life of the party.

Survivors include his father and mother Dennis and Dawn; siblings Mindy (Josh) Malone, Melissa (Keith) Leathers, Mary (Shaun) Walker, David Gammeter (Melissa Walker), Rachel Gammeter (Jamie Schmitz), and Dale Gammeter; grandmother Mary Schade, and his cat Pandora. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends who loved to hang out and laugh with him. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Donald and Elanor Gammeter and Robert Schade.

A celebration of Dennis' life will be planned for July 10, 2021 when it is safe for everyone to gather together. Memorials may be made to the Dennis (Denny) Gammeter Memorial Group on Facebook. Grief is like living two lives. One is where you "pretend" everything is alright, and the other is where your heart silently screams in pain. We love and miss you Denny everyday!
