Denise M. Olson, age 68 of Rio, passed away Friday, July 5, 2024 at St. Mary’s Hospital. She was born June 21, 1956 in Montello, Wi to Duane and Shirley Wolfe.

She married Donald Olson August 6, 1994 in Sun Prairie. Denise graduated from Wonewoc High School and went on to MATC for her nursing degree. She became a nurse in her younger years then was a stay at home mom. Denise enjoyed shopping, traveling, and painting.

Denise is survived by her husband Donald Olson; sons Jeremy JG Demaske (Dona Knight) and Jeffery G. (Bobbie) Demaske; daughter Mary Thayer (Bob Sperbeck); step son Andrew (Karen) Olson, 4 siblings; grandkids Kalib, Emily, and Dominick; and great granddaughter Adelynn. She was preceded in death by her parents Duane and Shirley Wolfe.

A celebration of life will be held August 18 at 7747 County Hwy N. in Sun Prairie Wi, 53590 from 12 until 4 PM. There will also be a light lunch that is served.
